NFL DFS Week 1

NFL DFS Week 5

QBs

Elite:

NFL DFS Week 5

Dak Prescott vs New York Giants (FD: $8,700, DK: $7,400)

Dak has been just absolutely destroying opponents this season but the Cowboys don’t have the record to show for it. Through 4 weeks, Dak has amassed 1,690 yards, 9 TDs and completing 68.2% of his passes. In last week’s loss to the Browns Dak threw 58 times for 502 yards and 4 TDs. His worst outing was week 1 where he only through for 266 yards and the only real problem we will have is to decide who to pair him up with. Last week we went with Gallup and he let us down while Cooper/Lamb had great weeks. If you’re paying up for a QB, Dak isn’t the worst decision you’ll make this week.

Value:

NFL DFS Week 5Teddy Bridgewater vs Atlanta Falcons (FD: $7,100, DK: $5,900)

The Atlanta Falcons have given up the most points per game to opposing QBs. As of the writing of this article, this game has the highest O/U on the slate and we have cashed a ton of money in 4 weeks by stacking the QB and WRs against the terrible secondary. In week 4 Teddy completed 26 of 37 passes, 276 yards, 2 passing TDs and 1 rushing TD against the 16th ranked DEF in the Arizona Cardinals. Either the Panthers will jump out early on ATL or they will be playing from behind, both are great for DFS purposes this week.

Derek Carr at Kansas City Chiefs (FD: $6,900, DK: $5,300)

Carr gets to face a Chiefs’ defense that has been hit or miss this season. On top of that, he’s been a very accurate QB with a 73.6% completion percentage. He has 8 TDs to go along with 0 INT this season. The only knock on him is he doesn’t have very many receiving options outside of Jacobs, Waller, and whoever is healthy in their WR corps. He does make an interesting GPP option especially on DK because his pricing allows you to pay up at almost every other position. I don’t think many people will be on him this week and you could be in a prime spot if he pops off for a handful of TDs this weekend.

Other QBs: Kirk Cousins (FD: $6,800, DK: $5,900), Daniel Jones (FD: $7,000, DK: $5,400), Philip Rivers (FD: $6,900, DK: $5,800), Russell Wilson (FD: $8,600, DK: $7,600), Lamar Jackson (FD: $8,900, DK: $7,900), Justin Herbert (FD: $7,000, DK: $6,000)

NFL DFS Week 5

RBs

Elite:

Clyde Edwards-Helaire vs Las Vegas Raiders (FD: $7,900, DK: $6,800)

Edwards-Helaire draws the best match-up for RBs in week 5 against the Raiders who are the worst against the RBs by giving up an average of 34.4 FPPG to opposing RBs. Now it is true that CEH has had some down games 3 in a row but he’s faced some tough opposition in NE, BAL, and LAC. The casual DFS player might look at his game logs and shy away from him without realizing how many FP the Raiders give up and his ownership could be lower than you’d expect. This game also opened up at 56.5 O/U and if the Chiefs come out and put up a ton of points, we could see dump-off passes and hand offs for CEH to rack up the FP. He’ll find himself in a TON of my lineups on both FD and DK this weekend.

Value:

Todd Gurley vs Carolina Panthers (FD: $6,700, DK: $5,700)

Gurley draws the second-best match-up for all RBs this week according to our Match-Up Tool. The Panthers are giving up an average of 32.6 FPPG to RBs. The knock on Gurley is that he only has 8 total receiving yards this year and Hill comes in and can take away some good looks for Gurley. He’s coming off a pretty good game against the Packers that saw him rush 16 times for 57 yards and 2 TDs. He only had 1 catch on 1 target for 6 yards so if he is handed the rock, there’s no reason he doesn’t find paydirt again this weekend.

Other RBs: James Robinson (FD: $6,600, DK: $6,700), Alvin Kamara (FD: $8,900, DK: $8,200), Josh Jacobs (FD: $8,200, DK: $6,300), D’Ernest Johnson (FD: $5,300, DK: $4,700), Antonio Gibson (FD: $5,800, DK: $5,000), Damien Harris (FD: $4,300, DK: $4,300)

NFL DFS Week 5

WRs

Elite:

DeAndre Hopkins at New York Jets (FD: $8,700, DK: $7,900)

The Jets are giving up 27 FPPG to WRs so they are a far cry from the 53.5 FPPG the Seahawks are giving up. Regardless, Nuk is damn near match-up proof and I like him in this game. Hopkins comes into week 5 with 39 catches on 46 targets for 397 Yards and 1 TD. Now I’m honestly surprised he has this many yards with 1 TD so I fully expect him to find paydirt this weekend. He was wearing the Questionable tag for a couple of weekends but looks to be 100% good to go. I’m still not sure how much exposure I’ll have to him this weekend but there will be at least some.

Value:

Justin Jefferson at Seattle Seahawks (FD: $5,700, DK: $5,500)

I’m honestly surprised that Jefferson isn’t higher-priced on either site this weekend. He comes in with the best match-up for all WRs against the Seahawks who are allowing 53.5 FPPG. I get that Thielen is the WR1 in Minnesota but Jefferson has surpassed Thielen in stats so far this year. Jefferson comes into Week 5 with 16 receptions on 20 targets for 348 yards and 1 TD. If he could push in a TD or two this weekend I wouldn’t be surprised. He’s had back to back weeks with 10+ FP. In week 4 against HOU he caught 4 of 5 for 103 yards and in Week 3 he caught 7 of 9 for 175 yards and a TD. He will most likely be a popular pick this week and for good reason.

Other WRs: Tee Higgins (FD: $5,400, DK: $4,900), Adam Thielen (FD: $7,300, DK: $7,000), Chase Claypool (FD: $4,900, DK: $4,100), Olamide Zaccheaus (FD: $4,800, DK: $3,000), Darius Slayton (FD: $5,800, DK: $4,800), DK Metcalf (FD: $6,700, DK: $7,100), Brandon Aiyuk (FD: $5,600, DK: $5,200)

NFL DFS Week 5

TEs

Elite:

George Kittle vs Miami Dolphins (FD: $7,100, DK: $6,600)

I mean, my goodness, Kittle FEASTED last weekend. He caught 15 of 15 targets for 183 yards and 1 TD while being hurt. He now comes in to face a Dolphins’ defense that has given up only 7.3 FPPG but it doesn’t matter. The fact that the 49ers are so beat up in the WR and RB and even QB position that they could rely heavily on Kittle once again. He’s out to prove why he is the best TE in the game today and I wouldn’t be surprised if he surpassed 100 yards again this weekend.

Value:

Eric Ebron vs Philadelphia Eagles (FD: $5,100, DK: $4,000)

I feel like Ebron isn’t getting the praise he should this year for some reason. The Eagles are giving up an average of 17.9 FPPG to opposing TEs and that’s good for the 3rd best matchup for Ebron and the Steelers. In 3 games this season Ebron has 9 catches on 14 targets for 113 yard and 1 TD. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s under 10% owned and in the top 5 or 10 TEs after the week is said and done.

Other TEs: Dan Arnold (FD: $4,200, DK: $3,200), Ian Thomas (FD: $4,400, DK: $3,400), Nick Vannett (FD: $4,000, DK: $3,000), Mark Andrews (FD: $7,500, DK: $6,200), Hunter Henry (FD: $6,000, DK: $4,300)

REMEMBER: These are lineups we use, but feel free to pick and choose plays and make your own lineups. Don’t ALWAYS follow these as they don’t hit 100% of the time. We do use these but sometimes late scratches happen and it’s too late to update the lineup. Good luck and bring home the bacon.
