Daily Matchups for 5/15/2017

Cash Pitchers

Chris Archer- We suggested Archer 5 days ago against the reeling Royals and he didn’t disappoint (8 IP, 5 H, 0 R, 11 Ks). He comes into tonight’s match-up against a hot-hitting Indians team but he’s been able to hold them pretty well in his career.

Career vs Current Indians Roster

AVG: 0.238 [25 for 105], BABIP: 0.235, K%: 16.0, BB%: 10.1
FIP: 6.10 Groundout: 22 Flyout: 19 Strikeout: 19Single: 12 Walk: 12 Lineout: 7 Double: 7 Pop Out: 7 Home Run: 6 Forceout: 3 Grounded Into DP: 2 Hit By Pitch: 1 Field Error: 1 Sac Bunt: 1

Carlos Carrasco- The pitching slate tonight is quite possibly the worst one I’ve seen all season so far. These first two pitchers are facing each other but Carrasco has had great numbers against the Rays and they are definitely a team that can strike out 8+ times a game. Carrasco is coming into this match-up with a 4-2 record, 1.86 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 46 Ks. He’s also coming off back to back Wins with 13 IP and 12 Ks.

Career vs Current Rays Roster

AVG: 0.224 [17 for 76], BABIP: 0.304, K%: 34.6, BB%: 2.6
FIP: 2.73 Strikeout: 27 Groundout: 12 Single: 10Flyout: 7 Lineout: 5 Grounded Into DP: 4 Double:3 Home Run: 3 Walk: 2 Forceout: 2 Triple: 1 Field Error: 1 Pop Out: 1

Zack Wheeler- This season has been very iffy with taking Mets’ pitchers but I like him in this match-up against the D-Backs. The only problem is it is at Chase Field. He’s actually been able to hold them to a .188 anda  21.1 K% and only a 7.9 BB%.

Career vs Current D-backs Roster

AVG: 0.188 [6 for 32], BABIP: 0.222, K%: 21.1, BB%: 7.9
FIP: 2.35 Groundout: 9 Strikeout: 8 Single: 4 Sac Bunt: 3 Flyout: 3 Forceout: 3 Walk: 3 Double: 2Field Error: 1 Pop Out: 1 Grounded Into DP: 1

GPP (Tournament Pitchers)

Bartolo Colon- When I think of a Greek God with an Adonis body, I think Bartolo Colon. This is 100000% a GPP play because he’s facing a Blue Jays team (who he actually has had success against) that hasn’t lost since last Monday. He could either get rocked, or be a formidable cheap GPP pitcher tonight.

Career vs Current Blue Jays Roster

AVG: 0.216 [16 for 74], BABIP: 0.228, K%: 17.3, BB%: 8.6
FIP: 4.88 Groundout: 19 Strikeout: 14 Single: 13Flyout: 11 Walk: 6 Lineout: 5 Pop Out: 4 Home Run: 3 Forceout: 2 Field Error: 1 Double Play: 1Intent Walk: 1 Grounded Into DP: 1

Chase Anderson- For the majority of this season it’s been key to take a pitcher against the Padres. This game is being played in Petco Park which is a pitcher’s park and he’s held them to a .250 BA. People are going to see that he’s coming off back to back 4.2 IP and possibly shy away but he also had 10 Ks in those 2 starts. I could see Anderson go for 7+ innings and 10 Ks against this San Diego team.

Career vs Current Padres Roster

AVG: 0.250 [9 for 36], BABIP: 0.273, K%: 7.7, BB%: 7.7
FIP: 3.53 Groundout: 7 Single: 7 Flyout: 7 Pop Out: 6 Lineout: 4 Walk: 3 Strikeout: 3 Double: 2

REMEMBER: These are lineups we use, but feel free to pick and choose plays and make your own lineups. Don’t ALWAYS follow these as they don’t hit 100% of the time. We do use these but sometimes late scratches happen and it’s too late to update the lineup. Good luck and bring home the bacon.

As discussed in previous Youtube videos, after 7 years, we've decided to take some time off. My plan is to take a couple of months off and transition to making FantasyTeamAdvisors a Season-Long and DFS Fantasy Football website. Hopefully, you understand and we'll be back better than ever!
