MLB DFS 5-3-21

Cillian Murphy has been absolutely dominant for us this season. Every time we’ve used him in our lineups he has SHOVED and now he gets a fantastic match-up against the Angels’ roster that he has had success against. I’m looking for 6-7 innings pitched with 8+ Ks. He makes fantastic cash or GPP pitcher on this smaller slate.

Buehler has been absolutely dominant this season and now gets to face a Cubs’ team that just isn’t very good. Yes, Kris Bryant is absolutely crushing right now but Buehler shouldn’t have a problem with this team today.

My only real problem with Ohtani as a pitcher is he’s pitching either 4 innings or 5 innings and that is it. The plus side is he’s striking out enough batters to pay for his salary on both Fanduel and DraftKings and we have had success this season targeting the Rays.

Waino is listed as probable for this start so make sure to check to see if he is starting. He was put on the COVID list as a precaution last week but is supposed to start this game. He has had success against the Mets as you can see and he’s coming off of back-to-back starts where he had almost 50 FP on FD in both. In his last start, he pitched a complete game with 8 Ks and only 2 ERs. I’m still not convinced he’s a cash pitcher, but he also can be your SP2 on DK.

He really hasn’t done a ton to boost confidence in choosing him as he has been hit pretty hard this season. This is more of a leverage play for GPPs because he has had success in the past against the Rangers. The thing is, Maeda is coming in with 1 win and a 6.17 ERA. He could be very under-owned and we can take some advantage of that in tournaments today.

While he hasn’t faced any Oakland batters since he has strictly pitched in the NL East, he has had a pretty damn good season so far in 2021 minus his last start. In that start against the Nats, Matz only lasted 3.2 innings while giving gup 8 hits, 1 Walk, 6 ERs, and only 2 Ks. He finished on Fanduel with -1 FP but he has been pretty good overall. He at least deserves a look in tournaments on this Monday slate.

Weather To Watch:

REMEMBER: These are lineups we use, but feel free to pick and choose plays and make your own lineups. Don’t ALWAYS follow these as they don’t hit 100% of the time. We do use these but sometimes late scratches happen and it’s too late to update the lineup. Good luck and bring home the bacon.
