MLB DFS 5-11-21

Biebs has an absolutely fantastic match-up against a swing-happy Cubs’ lineup. He’s going to be very highly owned so in Cash he’s a MUST START but GPPs he’s in play but you can fade him a bit for ownership if you would like. Would not surprise me if he gets double digit strike outs.

Singer has a great match-up against a Tigers’ team that he has dominated in the past. Singer just dominated this team 3 starts ago where he went 7 innings while only giving up 1 ER and 8 Ks. Obviously this would be a better park if it were at Kauffman, but I’ll take Singer and the savings when everyone pays up for Bieber.

Means comes into this game having thrown a No-Hitter last week against the Mariners. He ‘only’ threw 113 pitches into that game and I feel he’s going to be super highly-owned due to his previous start. Sometimes the start after a no-hitter isn’t the best so this is 100% a GPP-Only play for me tonight.

This is more of a tournament play here because the pesky Rays just seem to have the Yankees’ number the past couple of seasons. Monty doesn’t overpower the hitters but he the soft breaking stuff that can mow them down. I just can’t trust Montgomery in a cash lineup on either site.

Lopez has had success against the D-Backs as you can see above. He just faced them his last start but the only problem with that was he only lasted 5 innings and while he didn’t allow an ER he did strike out 6. I’m looking for something similar to that stat line in that game but hopefully we can get 7 innings out of him.

Same as above with MadBum having faced the Marlins in his last start. This game now moves to Arizona and Bumgarner has really turned things around lately. He hasn’t given up more than 1 ER in a game since 4/12 and last start against Miami he went 6 innings, 1 ER, and striking out 7 while only walking 1. I really like Madbum tonight as either a SP1 or SP2.

Other Pitchers I Like: Walker Buehler, Yusei Kikuchi, Kenta Maeda, Shohei Ohtani, Luis Patino, Nate Eovaldi

REMEMBER: These are lineups we use but feel free to pick and choose plays and make your own lineups. Don’t ALWAYS follow these as they don’t hit 100% of the time. We do use these but sometimes late scratches happen and it’s too late to update the lineup. Good luck and bring home the bacon.
