Korean Baseball DFS 101

Welcome To Korean Baseball DFS 101

Baseball is back! Sort of. While MLB is still figuring out what their season might look like, the KBO  officially begins their regular season tomorrow. If you’re a baseball fan and DFS enthusiast like myself, any baseball is good baseball.   While most of the rules are similar between MLB and KBO, there are some differences that we will dig into and let you know about. This article is hopefully going to help you become a better DFS player and very profitable until the MLB comes back. KBO DFS 101

Main Differences Between The MLB And KBO

  • There are 10 teams in the KBO compared to 30 in the MLB and the season is 144 games long.
  • There is a DH league-wide, we don’t have to worry about pitchers so treat this like the AL.
  • A huge difference is if the game goes into extra innings, they only go for 3 innings, if the game is tied after the 3rd extra inning, the game will end in a tie.

The KBO Is A Hitter’s League

  • There really aren’t ‘power pitchers’ in the KBO. We see far less strike outs so targeting high-priced pitching doesn’t seem like the way to go.
  • While KBO does have some great closers, most bullpens are ehhhh. If the opposing teams can get the SPs out, look for tons of hits and some domination from your hitters.
  • Be prepared to see a ton of errors, which should lead to more runs, meaning more FPs for your teams.
