Fantasy Football Week 13 Waiver Wire

It’s Waiver Wire Wednesday (on Tuesday)! It’s that special time of the week that can make – or break – your seasons. Nothing is more satisfying than landing that up-and-comer, that injury replacement or that breakout stud from the previous week. On the other hand, nothing is more infuriating than the team immediately ahead of you on the waiver wire list snagging that player you had your eyes on. Here at, we’ll give you the tools you need to own the waiver wire and your daily/season-long leagues.

Slow week on the waiver wire this week. See below for who we’re targeting for week 13 and beyond!

Ryan Fitzpatrick – Fitzpatrick and the Jets square off against the Colts on Monday Night Football.  The Jets aren’t scaring anyone but, from a fantasy perspective, the Jets possess a lot of potential.  The Colts are one of the worst teams in the league against the pass and Fitz has legit weapons at his disposal in Brandon Marshall and Matt Forte.  It could turn into a shootout with the Colts and the Jets will likely be playing from behind.  Take advantage.

Matt Barkley – I cannot believe the Matt Barkley is making this list but, after throwing for 316 yards and three touchdowns, he’s got to be in consideration.  Alshon Jeffery makes his return in three weeks and the Bears schedule is plump for the fantasy playoffs with matchups against the 49ers, the Lions and the Packers.  He’s worth an option in deeper leagues and a sneaky GPP play in DFS this week against San Fran.

Sam Bradford – Ok, this has officially become the most embarrassing slate of waiver wire QBs.  Bradford has thrown a touchdown in every game but two and has legit weapons on offense in Diggs, Thielen and Patterson.  The Vikings also have a nice schedule moving forward with matchups against the Cowboys, Jags, Colts and Packers, all which struggle against the pass.

Running Back

Rex Burkhead – With Gio Bernard and AJ Green done for the season, Burkhead will assume passing back duties for the Bengals and will likely factor into the offense moving forward.  The Bengals are a mess and will likely be playing from behind for the rest of the season.  Burkhead will slide in as the passing back and needs to be owned in all formats, especially PPR leagues.

Shaun Draughn – As the pass catching back in a team that constantly plays from behind, Draughn will maintain fantasy value for the 49ers.  He hasn’t had a carry in the last two weeks, but has still managed 13 and 10 FPs in that same span.

Wide Receiver

Malcom Mitchell – The Patriots offense will always generate fantasy production. The problem is identifying which receivers are going off.  With names like Edelman, Gronk and Amendola, it’s easy to get looked over.  Mitchell, however, is making a name for himself and Tom Brady is paying attention.  The two have hooked up three times over the last two games and appear to have developed a nice chemistry.  Mitchell needs to be owned in all formats.

Tyreek Hill – We’ve been on Hill for several weeks now yet his ownership has stayed steady at less than 50%.  He exploded Sunday with a 9-52-1 line against the Broncos, and added another touchdown rushing.  With Maclin dealing with what appears to be a serious groin issue, Hill is primed for another massive workload.  Take advantage.

Taylor Gabriel – This guy is incredible.  He’s tiny, but possess elite speed and quickness that’s seen him to the end zone four times in the last four games.  Julio will draw extra attention every Sunday, opening up opportunities for the youngster.

Tight End

Jermaine Gresham – The Cardinals offense is sputtering, but Palmer and Gresham are developing a nice chemistry in the red zone.  The Cardinals tight end has scored twice in the last two weeks and was targeted 10 times last week against the Falcons.  The Cards take on the Redskins this weekend in Arizona.  He’s worth a fill-in in season long and is a sneaky DFS play.

As discussed in previous Youtube videos, after 7 years, we've decided to take some time off. My plan is to take a couple of months off and transition to making FantasyTeamAdvisors a Season-Long and DFS Fantasy Football website. Hopefully, you understand and we'll be back better than ever!
