Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 2: Hockenson, Adrian Peterson, Ronald Jones and more

Fantasy Football Waiver Wire Week 2: Hockenson, Adrian Peterson, Ronald Jones and more

The first week of the 2019 Fantasy Football season has come and gone. If you’re reading this, you probably got screwed by one or more of your players. Due to lack of touches (Todd Gurley), broken clavicles (Tyreek Hill, Nick Foles, and Devin Funchess) or you’re just trying to find the best adds for Waiver Wire Wednesdays. FantasyTeamAdvisors.com is proud to bring this article back for the 2019 Fantasy Football season.

Have you guys checked out drafters.com yet?  FantasyTeamAdvisors.com was able to take down $1,346 in the NFL Week 3 last season and look to build on that in 2019. We will be putting up a video at our Youtube page soon showing how we did it!

TJ Hockenson (Detroit Lions TE)

Listen, I’ve watched Hockenson in college and knew the kid would be special. I just didn’t think it would be in week 1. All of the “experts” claimed that he would be just observing and learning in 2019, but if Week 1 was any indication, Hockenson could be in store for a hell of a work load moving forward. If you check out our NFL Match-Up tool, you’ll see the Lions are facing the Chargers who don’t give up many fantasy points to the TE position last year, but this could easily be a mismatch for Hockenson to shine again.

Adrian Peterson (Washington Redskins RB)

Adrian Peterson was shockingly a DNP on a coach decision which seemed to piss a ton of the Redskins off. Then Guice gets hurt and should be missing a few weeks. AP is healthy, possibly playing with a chip on his shoulder for not even suiting up in Week 1 and will be facing a stout Cowboys’ defense in Week 2. Looking for a RB in your season-long league? Look no further than old trusty.

Ronald Jones (Tampa Bay RB)

Ronald Jones is on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Not the best of offenses, and Jameis Winston has had a terrible preseason and Week 1 with a ton of turnovers. If the Bucs want to start winning, they need to hand the ball off more, and I would put my eggs in the basket of Ronald Jones if you can’t get your hands on Adrian Peterson.

Marquise (Hollywood) Brown (Baltimore Ravens WR)

If you were a savvy fantasy football owner, you would have had Brown on your roster before this week, just like yours truly. If you didnt, it’s time to start believing. Hollywood is coming off of a GIGANTIC game in Week 1. Everyone and their mother thought Lamar Jackson would be running it and not throwing it, but here we are. His stat line is 4 catches on 5 targets for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns. Can we count on this every week? Of course not but let’s get him on your rosters as he’s only owned in 32% of Yahoo leagues.

DJ Chark (Jacksonville Jaguars WR)

Looking for WR help and this dude is only 3% owned on Yahoo. He’s coming off of a 4 catch on 4 target day for 146 yards and 1 TD. All of this came with the backup QB after Foles got injured early in Week 1. It just appears that Chark and Minshew have a connection and we can take advantage of this in Week 2 when the Jags match up with the Texans.

NFL DFS LINEUP

You can find the new and improved lineups here: NFL LINEUPS! We are very proud to bring you tons of great info and lineups each week!

REMEMBER: These are lineups we use, but feel free to pick and choose plays and make your own lineups. Don’t ALWAYS follow these as they don’t hit 100% of the time. We do use these but sometimes late scratches happen and it’s too late to update the lineup. Good luck and bring home the bacon.
