Fanduel and DraftKings Optimal Lineup Results from Monday 7/18/16

Here at, we pride ourselves on our unmatched approach to research and analysis for both GPP and cash DFS formats to create our Optimal Lineups. Because of this, we not only play these lineups ourselves, but we post our results every day, good or bad. Do the other guys do that? Negative.

We keep it simple: we’re either eating that delicious meat candy, BACON (bottom line: we’ve cashed) or…BACON

we’re slurping down the dreaded canned ham…

Canned ham

Obviously, this is a problem and it means we didn’t cash.

Either way, good or bad, we’ll let you know where it went right or wrong.

Let’s get to it:

Optimal Lineup Results 7/17/16

Main Slate – Cash

Fernandez was phenomenal Monday night striking out 14 Phillies over 6.1 innings.  He gave up 2 earned on his was to a ND as the Phillies tied it up and sent it to extras late.  Upton carried the load for the offense as he hit a solo shot generating a run and a RBI in addition to a single.  Baez was highly owned and productive with 2 singles, a run and a stolen base.
Our Tigers stack, other than Upton,  fell apart as Martinez, Aviles and Castellanos combined for only 3 FP, sending this lineup into toilet.

Total: 109.9 Canned ham

Main Slate – GPP

It’s incredible to think that, even with a pitcher laying an egg, your roster can still generate 118.7 FP.  That’s exactly what happened here as Tropeano got rocked early to the tune of 4 earned over just 2 innings.  He did, however, strike out 2 hitters, bringing him to 0.  Mike Trout and Trevor Story were fantastic as each hit a home run, generated numerous RBI for 34.9 and 37.4 FP respectively. Upton was solid with 21.7 and Martin Prado scored 18.7 on a solo shot.
Again, our Tigers stack, other than Upton,  fell apart as Martinez, Cabrerra and Kinsler combined for only 3 FP, sending this lineup into toilet.

Total: 118.7 Canned ham

Main Slate 50/50

Fiers was awful giving up 6 earned over 3.2 innings, striking out 5, walking 3 and giving up 5 hits for 1.45 FP.  Leake, however, carried the pitching with a win over San Diego.   He went 6 innings, giving up 6 hits, struck out 11 and giving up just 1 earned.
Trevor Story carried the offense with 28 FP on our way to our first cash of the day!

Total: 109.35 BACON!!!!!

Main 50/50
