DraftKings Daily Fantasy Football Lineup Picks (9/8/16-9/12/16): NFL DFS Advice
Fanduel Daily Fantasy Football Lineup Picks (9/8/16-9/12/16): NFL DFS Advice
Aaron Rogers $9,000 – Rogers is the number 1 QB option on the slate this weekend. The Packers are on the road but face a soft Jaguars defense that gave up 29 touchdowns through the air to opposing QBs. In fairness, 2015 wasn’t kind to Rogers either as he saw career lows in passing numbers across the board. Jordy Nelson, his number 1 receiving option, returns from a knee injury that ended his 2015 before it began. With a full corps of targets, including free agent TE Jared Cook, Rogers has a full arsenal of playmakers and appears primed for a return to greatness.
Andrew Luck $8,700 – Luck is injury prone. His offensive line is awful and, for whatever reason, the Stanford grad can’t learn how to slide and avoid taking heavy contact. The Colts did nothing to improve the line, and I’m certainly concerned, from a season long perspective, in his long-term viability. From a daily perspective, however, Luck is healthy and has a couple of stud WRs to target in T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief against a soft Detroit Secondary. The Lions visit the Colts in what, according to Vegas, should be one of the highest point totals on the slate. Get Luck in your cash and 50/50 lineups.
Russel Wilson $8,500 – Wilson really came on at the end of 2015 throwing for 24 touchdowns over the last 8 games. Don’t expect that level of production to continue, but Wilson squares off against a Charmin-soft Dolphins defense struggling to find an identity. His ability to run and throw creates an excellent matchup for the Seahawks. Expect a monster game out of Wilson
Jameis Winston $7,500 – Winston had a solid rookie campaign last season and appears primed for a big 2016. He’s got a fantastic duo of WRs including Vincent Jackson, the seasoned vet, and Mike Evans, an up-and-coming superstar. Winston got in fantastic physical shape over the offseason in an effort to take the pounding of a 16 game season. Winston is a solid GPP play this weekend.
Eli Manning $7,200 – Eli is all over my lineups this weekend. At his price, he will be heavily owned and may be cash play only. However, I expect him, ODB and Sterling Shephard to put up monster numbers against an awful Cowboys defense.
Dak Prescott $5,000 – Look, at $5k and the kind of preseason Prescott had, everyone’s going to be taking a shot with him. He is strictly a cash play as his ownership will be through the roof. Regardless, the Giants defense is almost as bad as the Cowboys defense and this game could turn into a shootout. Get Prescott into your cash lineups.
Todd Gurley $8,900 – Gurley is option 1, 2, 3 and 4 for the Rams offense and the athletic freak has, in my opinion, the ability to rush for 2000 yards in 2016. The 49ers defense is suspect and, let’s face it, the Rams offense, other than Gurley, is a nonfactor. Gurley should see a massive workload this weekend and the rest of 2016.
Ezekiel Elliot $7,900 – The second Cowboys QB Tony Romo went down in the preseason with a compression fracture to his back, Elliot’s value multiplied. Arguably the most-hyped running back since Adrian Peterson, Elliot should see a massive workload behind an elite offensive line. Elliot is a 3-down back that, in his limited preseason action, looked impressive, lowering the boom on one of, if not the, biggest safety in the NFL, Cam Chancellor of the Seahawks.
Lamar Miller $7,600 – Get Miller in your lineups. The former Dolphins RB suffered from a lack of usage in Miami. He’s now in Houston and should produce elite RB1 numbers regularly this season. Start him comfortably in both cash and GPP formats.
DeAngelo Williams $7,100 – With Bell out, Williams will be the number 1 in Pittsburgh. He will be heavily owned and may be more of a cash-only player.
Latavius Murray $6,600 – The Raiders offense got hot last season and appear ready to roll again in 2016. Murray is still waiting for that breakout performance, but the Raiders are looking to go run-heavy this season. The Saints have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, Murray could go off. He’s a great value at $6.6k and needs to be started in all formats.
Demarco Murray $6,500 – The Titans are planning to run, what they call, an “exotic, smash mouth” offense. Murray was brought in as the focal point of this offense and, if the preseason is any indication, is ready for the challenge. Heisman winning, 2nd round draft pick, Derek Henry, may eat into his carries throughout the season, but Murray should have a huge workload Sunday against the Vikings.
Spencer Ware $5,400 – With Jamal Charles recovering from last season’s ACL injury, Ware becomes RB1 for the Chiefs. At $5.4K, Ware becomes RB1 for my daily fantasy lineups. He will be heavily owned, so avoid gpps, but Ware should have monster workloads until Charles is back and healthy.
Antonio Brown $9,300 – Brown is the consensus #1 fantasy player in nearly all drafts for a good reason: He’s the best offensive player in the game. He’s got a difficult matchup against Josh Norman and the Redskins D, but if anyone is matchup-proof, it’s Brown.
Odell Beckham Jr $9,100 – The bright lights will be on as ODB and the Giants head to the most glamorous stadium in the NFL as the G-Men take on the Cowboys in Dallas. Beckham Jr. thrives in these games and I predict we see him dancing in the end zone more than 1 time Sunday evening. The Cowboys defense is atrocious; ODB should have a monster game.
DeAndre Hopkins $8,400 – Hopkins is arguably one of the top-5 WRs in the game today. His size, route running ability and catch radius make him matchup proof. Start him with confidence in any format, no matter the matchup.
Mike Evans $7,900 – Evans will be in a lot of my lineups this weekend. At $7.9k, he provides elite level upside at near value price. He has a tasty matchup against the Falcons in the dome. Start him.
Golden Tate $6,900 – Tate has big shoes to fill stepping into the number 1 WR role for the Lions offense with Calvin Johnson retiring at the end of the 2015 season. Tate has the ability to produce WR1 numbers in a high-octane, pass-heavy offense. The Lions signed Marvin Jones, who may eat into some of Tate’s targets, but Tate should have a monster day. Pay attention to his status leading up to kick-off as he is dealing with some ankle issues.
Willie Snead $6,400 – The Saints are going to throw…a lot. Snead snuck up on a lot of folks last season but made a name for himself as he put together a solid 2015. Snead will be the number 2 option behind Brandin Cooks but, in this offense, that’s not a terrible position to be in.
Sterling Shepard $5,600 – Shepard is my flyer of the night. I have no clue what we are going to see out of the rookie. However, all reports out of Giants camp have been positive including fellow wide out, Odell Beckham Jr, calling him a future star.
Tajae Sharpe $4,800 – Sharpe may be the biggest DFS option you’ve never heard of. The Titans drafted Sharpe in the 5th round of this year’s draft and was inserted almost immediately into the starting lineup. Now, the Titan’s receiving corps is absolutely awful, but Sharpe still played well enough for the Titans to trade their 2015 2nd round pick, WR Dorial Green Beckham, for a career turnstile. Get Sharpe in your lineups for a cheap, excellent option.
Rob Gronkowski $8,700 – Gronk is Gronk. If he’s healthy enough to take the field, he’s the best TE option available.
Jordan Reed $7,400 – Really the only candidate to push Gronkowski for the #1 TE ranking is Reed. He possesses freakish size/speed/hands similar to Gronk. Cousins looks his way early and often and, if Reed avoids the injury bug, Reed could have a monster season.
Delanie Walker $6,500 – There just aren’t a lot of options in Tennessee. Walker saw more targets come his way than any other TE in the NFL. Things won’t change much this year as Walker will be a focal point of the Titans offense. He gives you the elite upside with a value price. Start him with confidence.
Zach Ertz $5,700 – Similar to the Titans, there just aren’t a lot of legit options in the Eagles offense. 1st round draft pick, QB Carson Wentz will be looking to check down regularly as he gets used to the NFL speed. Ertz have a big game against a Swiss cheese Browns defense.
Jared Cook $5,300 – Cook possesses elite size and speed but just can’t seem to thrive anywhere. Now in Green Bay, Cook has a quarterback unlike anything he played with in Tennessee or St. Louis. This could be his breakout season or it could solidify the fact that he’s just a mediocre player.
Clive Walford $4,700 – Enjoy Walford at this price, it won’t be here for long…

Stephen Gostkowski $5,000
Dan Bailey $4,800
