FanDuel & DraftKings DFS Pitchers

The Yankees are one of the best teams in baseball and they are facing Jacob Waguespack. That is not a name that should scare you. I’m all in on Masahiro Tanaka and the New York Yankees bats on this slate.

The Boston Red Sox pitching has gotten obliterated this season and once revered CY Young winner Rick Porcello takes the mound. He has been less than stellar this season and I wouldn’t be surprised if you take some Angels’ bats today you’ll be bringing home the bacon on this MLB DFS slate.

Philadelphia Phillies’ Vince Velasquez faced the same Giants club on July 31st and has another opportunity here. He gets the plus of pitching in Oracle Park and against a team that’s just offensively terrible. I’m not afraid to roll out Velasquez today.

I want all of the Mike Soroka and Braves’ bats that I can get in this one. Just like last night, I think Acuna is in a smash-spot yet again and Soroka could lower his ERA even more tonight.
I’m avoiding both of these pitchers in this matchup. As of the writing of this article, I am avoiding the bats here as well. Some value might open up later on in the day, but we have so many other options we can go with both pitching and hitting that this game isn’t really a factor for me.

Whatever is in the water in Houston, the pitchers come over here and absolutely dominate. After using Wade Miley last night, I’m going back to the well with Sanchez who was part of the combined no-hitter his last start.

Sonny Gray is back like he was when he was with the Oakland Athletics. I love him against the Cubs today. He’s striking out nearly 30% of the Cubs’ hitters, he could be in store for a great game.

I’d rather go with the bats in this game rather than either of these pitchers.

You could go with Tanner Roark for a tournament because of the White Sox offense lacking anything significant in the form of power outside of Eloy. But there are so many options today you don’t have to go with either of these pitchers tonight.

I will have no exposure to either of these guys. I’ll be looking to target some of the bats instead.

This could be the match-up of the night. Both have had success against opposing batters and this could easily be a 1-0 game and you couldn’t go wrong on either pitcher for cash options tonight.

Just like last night, I think the Cardinals stack against Joe Musgrove will cash you some money tonight.

I would look to use the Padres’ hitters tonight. Chi Chi Gonzalez is just a journeyman pitcher and these aren’t your father’s San Diego Padres’ hitters. Load up on Tatis, Machado, and company.

Honestly, I would look to use Kenta Maeda as a tournament option even though he’s given up over a .300 batting average in 124 at bats to the Arizona Diamondbacks current roster. The Dodgers are so good they should give him some run support, and this game is being played in Los Angeles and not Arizona.

Charlie Morton vs Seattle Mariners.

Tim Beckham 4 2 0 1 0 0 1 1 .500 .600 1.000 1.600

Totals 90 24 7 1 1 11 4 26 .267 .302 .400 .702

The Seattle Mariners are so bad offensively that it should be an absolute crime to not use a pitcher against them. Charlie Morton fits that bill tonight and could be that late night hammer to help you bring home the bacon.
