Fantasy Football is a combination of things. Mixing enjoyment of football, with competition, and a tad bit of thinking you can do what those over paid suit wearing office people do. But while watching football, reading the magazines, there is also analyzing the data. These are the 4 stats that I think you need to have before you draft
First Down
Ezekiel Elliot – Darren McFadden had 239 carries for 1089 yards, that’s 4.6 ypc, last year for Dallas but only 3 TDs. Now its Zeke’s turn. A better, younger running back we can expect better numbers. Also factor in Dez and Dak will help move the ball more, so more scoring chances for Elliot
Second Down
Russell Wilson – In the 7 games that Marshawn Lynch played he threw for a total of 1,618 yards for 8 TDs. So in the 9 games without him he had 2,406 yards and 26 TDs. The last 7 games, all without Lynch, he had 24 TDs. Wilson is handed the keys to the car and big year
Third Down
Jordan Matthews/Eric Decker – Both WRs are going around the 30th WR selected and have been consistent and dependable for fantasy. Matthews has back to back 8 TD seasons with improved yardage right at 1000 and should surpass. Decker has double digit TDs and over 1000 yards in 3 of the past 4 years. Both of these receivers would be fantastic #3 WR
Fourth Down
Blake Bortles – Number 4 QB last year and 1 behind the TD leader. But 29 of those 35 touchdowns were thrown while the Jaguars were trailing and only 3 TDs when they were leading. The addition of Chris Ivory to pair with TJ Yeldon and all the defensive players added will help the Jaguars win games. More ball control offense. Bortles will have a drop in yards and TDs
